The set in question is a French crystal ensemble consisting of three antique Baccarat decanters stands and an engraved-cut crystal ice bucket signed Valéry Klein at Baccarat. The three decanter stands are authentic Baccarat pieces, made of transparent molded crystal. Their design features an elegant starburst radiating base and a notched border composed of broad rounded facets, which catch the light particularly well. Each piece bears the molded BACCARAT mark in relief within the crystal. This type of decanter stand is documented in the factory’s antique productions and can be dated to the early 20th century, roughly between 1910 and 1930. The fourth item is a Valéry Klein engraved-cut crystal ice bucket, made in the Baccarat region in the 1980s. Under its base it bears the mark KLEIN – BERTRICHAMPS – 54120 BACCARAT – FRANCE. Its crystal features rich geometric and vegetal facets, complemented by a metal frame and handle. When paired with the three older Baccarat decanter stands, it forms a harmonious set that evokes the art of French hospitality and the fine tables of the 20th century. Lot composition: 3 decanter stands / Baccarat bottle bases and 1 Valéry Klein ice bucket at Baccarat, for a total of 4 pieces. Materials: molded crystal, cut crystal, and metal. Origin: France. Periods: approximately 1910–1930 for the Baccarat decanter stands; 1980s for the Valéry Klein bucket. Colors: transparent crystal and silvered metal. Approximate dimensions: the decanter stands measure about 13.2–13.3 cm in diameter and about 2 cm in height. The ice bucket measures about 15 cm in height, with an opening of about 14 to 15.5 cm. Exact dimensions may vary slightly. Condition: generally good, considering the age of the pieces. The crystal retains a fine luster and may show light traces or micro-scratches from use. The metal frame of the bucket shows patina, some signs of wear, and oxidation visible in the photographs. No defect has been deliberately concealed; the photographs are an integral part of the description. This set thus brings together two expressions of French glassmaking know-how: antique Baccarat crystal and the artisanal work of Valéry Klein in Baccarat. The ensemble will be packed with the utmost care, each piece individually protected to ensure secure transport.
