This vintage globular glazed stoneware vase perfectly aligns with the Japanese Mingei style or the Carriès school movement, featuring a raw and organic aesthetic tied to the arts of the earth. The piece has a stocky, rounded body topped by a short neck with a flared rim, highlighted by a layered glaze design. The background shows a satin finish in a reddish-brown shade reminiscent of traditional kaki glaze, overlaid with large, expressive abstract drips of textured yellow ochre and beige tones, enriched with subtle grey-green highlights. This bulky and dense object has a substantial weight of 3200 grams with a height of 24 cm and a maximum width of 19 cm. The underside of the vase displays a flat base in raw unglazed terracotta left natural, bearing no visible signature or maker's mark. The entire piece is in very good condition, preserving the integrity of its original surfaces and glaze decorations with no notable damage.
