Rare and important large-sized Murano blown-glass centerpiece, belonging to the famous "Opulus" series. The piece was designed for the historic Venini furnace by the designer duo Brigitte Karlsson and Ove Thorssen, introduced to the market around the late '70s and early '80s. The object stands out for the elegant craftsmanship of the thick transparent glass, featuring a central spiral helicoid motif that fades into a texture of concentric circles etched toward the outer edge. This is the largest and most monumental version of the series. It has no chips, hairlines, or restorations. Only light and normal signs of use on the base, consistent with its age.
