Verdal Swiss Made automatic watch, dating from approximately 1975, featuring a typical and elegant 1970s design with a 20-micron gold-plated cushion case, silver-toned dial and distinctive day-date display at 3 o’clock. The dark silver-toned dial, with subtle brownish hues and a brushed finish, features applied hour markers, central hour, minute and seconds hands, and a large framed window displaying the day of the week and date. A particularly distinctive detail is the day disc, which in the photographs displays the French abbreviation “LUN” (lundi, Monday), partially concealed by the frame of the day-date window. At the heart of the watch is the reliable ETA 2789, a Swiss automatic movement with 25 jewels, Incabloc shock protection, central seconds and quick-set day and date functions. The calibre belongs to the ETA family produced between the late 1960s and the 1970s and operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour. With a diameter of approximately 35 mm excluding the crown, the case retains classic vintage proportions while offering a substantial wrist presence thanks to its geometric shape and broad gold-plated surface. The watch is completed by a NOS brown genuine leather strap, particularly well suited to its vintage aesthetic.
