Very Rare Natural Ruby Crystal Sphere, Unheated 1961.15 ct- 392.23 g

According to Indian mythology, rubies were formed from the blood splatters of the demon Vala. In ancient India, the ruby protected its bearer from most harm and safeguarded mental and physical health. Another belief was that if one offered a beautiful ruby to the god Krishna, one would be reborn as a ruler. The chromium contained in rubies produces a natural fluorescence that is excited by both visible and invisible (ultraviolet) light. Fluorescence can intensify the color of a ruby and thus increase its value. Note: The shown stand is not included in the delivery.
