Vibrant Australian Tiger Iron with Golden Chatoyancy and...

Wood and Brass Stand — Tiger Iron slab originating from Australia, adeptly mounted on an elegant black wood and brass base. This piece presents itself as a true natural sculpture, a scenographic display work perfect for mineral collections, modern Wunderkammer, or as a luxury interior decor element. Tiger Iron is a unique metamorphic rock, an aggregate that testifies to the geological history of our planet. It mainly comprises Golden Tiger Eye, red-brown Jasper, and gray-metallic Hematite. This combination brings to life a fascinating banded pattern, a miniature mineral landscape. The front surface of this slab has been polished to a mirror finish to enhance the luster and the richness of the Tiger Eye’s colorations. The sinuous lines, ferruginous veining, and golden reflections weave together in a chromatic dance that captures light and attention. In an intriguing contrast, the back and edges have been left in their natural rough state. This design choice allows the material to be appreciated in its origin form, offering a tactile and visual experience that contrasts the man-made polished surface with nature’s creation. Geologically, Tiger Iron is tied to Australia’s ancient ferriferous formations, formed billions of years ago. Its bands tell ancient sedimentary and metamorphic processes, making each specimen a unique and unrepeatable piece, a fragment of Earth’s history.
