Victorian 0.40ct Sapphire and Diamond Three Stone Ring, c.1880s

Dating back to the Victorian period, this wonderfully crafted trilogy ring displays a central old cut diamond at its centre, flanked by a pair of sapphires, with six additional decorative rose cut diamonds set between and on either end. The central diamond weighs 0.40 carat and has been given a colour grading of H and Clarity of VS1. The two sapphires weigh 0.25 carat a piece and contrast both the diamonds and gold band in a striking yet beautiful way. Each stone is firmly claw set in 18 carat yellow gold. The gallery features intricate carving in scrolled patterns which flow down onto the shoulders.
