Victorian ephemera group consisting of letters between Sarah Jane Ffoulkes of Llechryd Rhyl North Wales and Peter Roberts Chemist in Denbigh ranging from the early 1860s into the 1870’s.The early letters cover their courtship to their wedding and also includes the loss of their child. The majority of the letters still retain their penny red stamps and postmarks. A very strong connection to the Welsh Calvinist methodist church a letter of condolences from the Rev Dickens Lewis 1838-1895 and Sarah’s cousin was John Hughes Symond (1832–1921).
