Vintage Gold Bracelet With Yellow & Blue Sapphires, c. 1990

Since a couple of years, the colours yellow and blue, as Ukrainian national colours, are once again different in our consciousness than before. The blue sky and the blond wheat fields of the vast country may have been the godfather for the choice of the two colours, which already Marie Princess Gagarin described in her book about her flight from our European neighbor and the decline of the Tsarist Empire. Cool and at the same time warm is the effect of the magnificent bracelet that came to us from the estate of a Hamburg shipowning family. Nine golden yellow and just as many sky blue sapphires are set in bezels of high karat gold and joined by almond-shaped links in which a total of 36 diamonds sparkle. 12.6 carats of fine natural sapphires have come together here. It is a bracelet of the years around 1990, in addition we can also offer a matching necklace and ring, which are also set with yellow and blue sapphires. To be sure that these are natural sapphires, we have commissioned an expert opinion confirming the authenticity of the gemstones used here.
