Vintage Ring with Moonstone and Pink Sapphires, likely South Asian

A summer night in the moonlight seems to have been the inspiration for this unusual ring. At its center, a large oval moonstone glows in a delicate, mysterious blue. It is surrounded by a wreath of bright pink sapphires, whose warm colour creates a charming contrast to the cool shimmer of the center stone. The moonstone is cut as a cabochon. This cut beautifully highlights its characteristic play of colours.
