Vintage Triptych of the Three Wise Men - Hand-painted...

Triad of the Three Wise Men Vintage (27 cm) - Hand Painted - Made in Italy Splendid and rare coordinated set of the Three Wise Men (Gaspar, Melchior, and Balthazar) for a monumental nativity scene, attributed to the historic Tuscan artisanal workshop of master figurine makers (in the style of major historic firms such as Fontanini or Euromarchi). The figures strike with the incredible expressive power of their faces and the richness of the drapery of the mantles and robes, finely embellished with glossy gold and silver details. Made in rigid vintage hard plastic (Moplen-type / dense high-strength PVC), a dry-to-the-touch material, extremely solid and durable over time, typical of the large Italian manufacturing output of the second half of the 20th century. Fully decorated and hand painted. Classic textured oval base with a raised effect of green grass, with the origin mark "ITALY" imprinted on the bottom. Dimensions: • Gaspar (Standing): Height 27.5 cm | Width 11 cm | Depth 8 cm | Weight: 244 g. Bearing the gold case. • Melchior (Standing): Height 27.5 cm | Width 11 cm | Depth 7.5 cm | Weight: 244 g. Bearing the incense casket on a cushion. • Balthazar (Kneeling): Height 20.5 cm | Width 10.5 cm | Depth 11 cm | Weight: 210 g. Posed in deep adoration with hand on chest, bearing the myrrh vial placed on the ground. Good vintage condition, with charming signs of age. The plastic structures are perfectly intact except for a small chip on Melchior’s hat, solid and free of structural damages. Natural and widespread superficial paint chips are present (tiny color losses revealing the white underlying material, visible for example on the crown, on the nose of the Moorish king, and on the more protruding folds of the mantles), which do not spoil the overall aesthetics but testify to the age and authenticity of the vintage pieces (Please carefully review the attached photographic set for details).
