Vitra - Charles & Ray Eames - Chair - New in Box: Elephant - Polypropylene

Vitra Eames Elephant – Charles & Ray Eames – White – Signed Iconic Vitra Eames Elephant in white, designed by Charles & Ray Eames. This versatile object can be used as a sculpture, a children's chair, or a stool and has grown into one of the most recognizable design classics of the 20th century. The piece features the official Vitra logo on the top and is marked on the bottom. The elephant is in good condition and serves as both a stylish decorative object and a functional piece of furniture for children. The original design dates from the 1940s, when Charles and Ray Eames experimented with shaping plywood into three-dimensional forms. The complex curves proved technically unsuitable for mass production at that time. It wasn’t until the early 2000s that Vitra was able to realize the design in durable plastic, making the Eames Elephant finally available to the broad public and giving it its original purpose as children's furniture. Vitra is globally one of the most renowned design brands, known for producing timeless designs by, among others, Charles & Ray Eames, George Nelson, Isamu Noguchi, Jean Prouvé, and Verner Panton. The Eames Elephant is a beloved collectible and an icon of modern design. Includes: Original Vitra Certificate of Authenticity (Certificate of Authenticity!) Dimensions are: 39x21x20.5 cm.
