The Syncro version stands out for its adoption of all-wheel drive, a technical solution that expanded the Golf’s usability while preserving the practicality, reliability, and build quality typical of the model. The example up for auction, registered in 1990, presents with its original interiors and preserves the factory engine and original factory color, keeping every detail in its original configuration. INTERIOR The interiors are in excellent overall condition and retain the original configuration. The seats are in excellent condition, finished in fabric and vinyl, as are the steering wheel and door panels. The dashboard is well preserved with its original wood trim and all details in place, rare options. Before putting it up for sale, a thorough cleaning and sanitization of the entire cabin was performed. MECCANICA Mechanically the car retains the factory-original engine, which is running. Also the transmission, clutch, and brakes operate correctly. A new battery has just been installed and the car was restarted after a period of inactivity. The last technical inspection expired in January 2019, as the car was kept in a private collection. Given the very limited use in recent years, a service and general check before the next inspection is recommended. The Volkswagen Golf Mk2 Syncro 4x4 today represents an attractive choice for anyone looking for a pleasant and usable German youngtimer, with a particularly interesting configuration thanks to the all-wheel drive.
