Walt Disney - Briar Rose Animation Drawing - Sleeping Beauty (1959)

Sleeping Beauty (Walt Disney, 1959) Briar Rose Animation Drawing Showcased in this lot is a graceful full-figure animation drawing of Princess Aurora in her peasant girl persona, Briar Rose. Masterfully crafted over 65 years ago, for Disney's acclaimed 16th animated feature film, Sleeping Beauty. Voiced by Mary Costa, Aurora was animated by Marc Davis and Les Clark, two of "Walt's Nine Old Men" and Disney Legends. Aurora's original character design was developed by Tom Oreb, who based her delicate, refined features on Audrey Hepburn's graceful frame. This sequence can be found starting near the 25:40 timestamp of the film, as Briar Rose picks berries and hums the melody of the hopeful musical number "I Wonder". In Very Good condition.
