Warring States Period to Han Dynasty Cold-painted earthenware Cocoon Flask — c. 3rd century BCE – 2nd century CE Cold-painted earthenware vessel with a globular body, short neck, flared rim and circular foot. The surface features brown and dark tones, with lines, curves and geometric motifs in light and reddish colours. The photographed purchase invoice from Veilinghuis Van Spengen identifies lot 1156 as “terracotta kruik, Neolitische periode” —terracotta vessel, Neolithic period—.
