For sale is a particularly massive, authentic gold ring from the former Soviet Union—a real piece of history. It is probably from the 1970s (around 1971) and, due to its high weight, is not only a striking piece of jewelry but also a solid store of value. Details of the ring: Material: 958 gold (23 karat) – the rare, high-quality, and very gold-rich Soviet alloy. Weight: approx. 7.56 g (solidly crafted). Inner diameter: approx. 20.7 mm (corresponds to ring size 65/66). Width: approx. 8 mm. Origin: USSR, likely manufactured around 1971 at the Leningrad Jewelry Factory or Alma-Ata (information not guaranteed, inferred from the maker's mark). Stamps / Hallmarks: Finest mark: State Soviet fineness mark with star (hammer and sickle) as well as the impression “958” for 23 karat gold. Maker mark (Imennik): Probably “.1AЮ” or “.1ЛЮ” (1971, Soviet jewelry factory).
