William Morris fabric 'Honeysuckle' Honeysuckle - 300x280...

Exclusive 100% combed organic cotton fabric, Oeko-Tex Standard certified, very soft to the touch, with a medium weight of 230 g per square meter. A quality without equal. The “Combed” finish gives this fabric a velvety softness to the touch. A guarantee for this premium William Morris fabric. Try it to believe it! An enchanting Damask weave in Art Nouveau Morris style, delicate in Morris style. A distinctive style with a creative design even in its simplicity. William Morris (Walthamstow, March 24, 1834 – London, October 3, 1896) was a British artist and writer. This design fully belongs to the late 19th-century Arts & Crafts motif family, born with William Morris and his obsession with nature observed up close and transformed into repeatable decoration. Here it is not a simple floral: it is an ornamental climber, a design conceived to envelop the surface without ever leaving gaps. The protagonist is clearly the stylized honeysuckle: radiating flowers with elongated peach-orange petals and a continuous interlace of green leaves. The rhythm is organic yet controlled. The tendrils are not random: they create an invisible grid that allows the pattern to repeat without noticeable breaks. This is the heart of the Morris language: nature, yes, but disciplined within a decorative system. There is also a very smart color choice. Warm light background → makes the fabric bright and livable. Multiple greens → add depth without heaviness. Orange/peach → warms everything and becomes the focal point. Morris was one of the principal founders of the Arts and Crafts movement; he is considered a forerunner of modern designers and had a notable influence on architecture and architects of his time. He is regarded by many as the father of the Modern Movement, even though he was not an architect himself. He founded a design studio in collaboration with artist Edward Burne-Jones and poet/artist Dante Gabriel Rossetti, who deeply influenced church and home decoration in the twentieth century. He also made an important contribution to reviving traditional textile arts and the associated production methods. Watch the photographic sequence to see all the details. The drapery remains enchanting with an extraordinary effect! A true delight for your living room, study, or bedroom. Perfect for creating table linen, curtains, chair and sofa upholstery, sofas and poufs, sheets, blankets, bedspreads, coverlets, cushions, tablecloths, napkins, wallpapers, etc. Also excellent in the fashion field.
