Made by Wood & Hughes in New York, ca 1870. Medallion-inspired terminal with cast bust of gallant lady mounted to stippled and beaded oval on leafing scroll mount. Knopped and beaded round stem; bowl lobed and fluted with gilt butler-finished exterior. On terminal verso engraved script name (“Netta”). Marked “Sterling” with maker’s stamp. Very good condition. Dimensions: H 15 x W 5 x D 4 1/4 in. Weight: 9.3 troy ounces. #CB427
