Working tool - Geometer's Stadia

Geometer’s stadia (or topographic sight) from the antique era in wood, historically used for topographic surveys together with instruments such as the theodolite. It extends up to 5 meters and, when closed, measures 2 meters. This vintage geometer’s stadia has a strong graphic impact and a tactile warmth that make it a perfect object of art and design. Thanks to its pronounced verticality and the charm of aged wood, it fits ideally in several interior styles. 1. Industrial Style and Urban Loft It is its natural context. The pairing of vintage working instruments with raw materials enhances the industrial aesthetic. How to position it: Leaning directly against a wall of exposed bricks or beside a wrought-iron and dark wood bookshelf. 2. Rustic Modern and Farmhouse Style The patina of aged wood and the two-tone numbering (black and red) create a welcoming and geometric contrast in environments that celebrate natural materials. How to position it: Perfect in an entry area or a hallway, perhaps mounted on the wall vertically to fill narrow, tall corner spaces. 3. Eclectic / Vintage Modern In modernia contexts, a technical piece of this kind acts as a statement piece (focal element), breaking the linearity of contemporary furnishings. How to position it: Hung horizontally above a sofa or a low mid-century credenza, used as if it were a sculptural painting. Main features Material: Aged wood with a printed graduated scale. Numbering: Red numerals and black ticks for reading distances and elevations. Use: A professional measuring instrument historically employed by surveyors and engineers.
