The lot includes, among other items, a liard of Charles II from the Spanish Netherlands, a French 2 sols of Louis XVI from 1792, silver coins of Napoleon III and Ceres, VOC duits and the great Westphalian emergency money of 10,000 marks from 1923. Composition: France — 13 pieces • 1 × 2 sols Louis XVI, 1792, mint mark R. • 3 × 5 centimes Napoleon III, bronze issues with eagle. • 2 × 10 centimes Napoleon III, including 1854 with mint mark B. • 2 × 1 franc Napoleon III, silver: one with bare head and one with laureate head. • 1 × 2 francs Napoleon III, silver, laureate head. • 2 × 10 centimes Dupuis: 1900 and 1916. • 1 × 1 franc Cérès, 1871 K, Bordeaux, silver. • 1 × small silver Cérès coin, whose value and year are not fully legible due to wear. Spain — 2 pieces • 1 × 5 céntimos Alfonso XII. • 1 × 10 céntimos 1870, with seated Hispania and lion with coat of arms. South Africa — 1 piece • 1 × shilling Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek, 1897, featuring Paul Kruger, silver. Germany — 1 piece • 1 × 10,000 marks Westfalen, 1923, with Freiherr vom Stein and the Westphalian horse, gilded tombac. Monaco — 1 piece • 1 × 2 francs 1926, issue of the Crédit Foncier de Monaco. Belgium — 1 coin medal • Souvenir medal of the Brussels Mint, 1910, depicting “Jadis” and “Aujourd’hui”, designed by Alphonse Michaux. Further included: • 2 heavily worn or corroded copper pieces that could not be further identified. Mixed condition circulating. The state ranges from heavily worn to better preserved examples. Patina, discolorations, scratches, corrosion and edge damage are present. One Belgian coin is pierced. For several pieces, years and inscriptions are partially illegible.
