Yvert & Tellier – 1941 around 3000 Stamps Album 1860 1935 Yvert & Tellier, circa 1941. Not deeply checked Vintage bound stamp album containing an extensive collection of approximately 3,000 postage stamps, mainly covering the period c. 1860–1930. The collection is organised geographically according to the original Yvert & Tellier album, with numerous French colonies and territories represented, including French Sudan, Senegal, French West Africa, Ivory Coast, Dahomey, Madagascar, Indochina, New Caledonia, Wallis & Futuna, Tahiti, Réunion, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon, and other territories. The album is well collated, with stamps mounted in their appropriate spaces throughout the printed pages. It includes a substantial number of early issues, with many stamps dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The album extends to approximately 363 numbered pages, including the extensive geographical sections and alphabetical index. Condition: Overall good condition for its age. The original red cloth-covered binding shows age-related wear, rubbing and surface marks. The interior pages are generally well preserved, with some ageing and handling marks. The collection has been used and contains handwritten annotations and catalogue notes in places. Stamps are in varying condition, as expected for a collection assembled over many decades. A substantial and interesting pre-war collection of French colonial and overseas stamps, offered in its original period Yvert & Tellier album. Approx. 3,000 stamps Period represented: c. 1860–1930 Album: Yvert & Tellier, 1941 Approximately 363 numbered pages
