Writing desk - Wood

An Italian Art Deco desk, presumably from the 1930s–1940s, characterized by a compact, asymmetric structure and the elegant rounded lines typical of the period. Made of wood with veneered surfaces showing a beautiful grain, it features a wide upper drawer with a lock and decorative handle, a side compartment closed by a door with an interior shelf, and a further small open compartment beneath the top. Notable are the shaped front feet and the decorative hardware. The interior of the drawer and the cabinet is lined with decorative paper. It shows signs of age and use, variations in the finish and surface wear, visible in the photographs, coherent with the age of the piece. Dimensions: width 102 cm, depth 40 cm, height 78 cm. A desk with compact proportions, suitable also as a writing desk or small work cabinet and particularly decorative thanks to the Art Deco forms. Due to its weight and dimensions I do not ship; pickup is at the buyer's expense and arranged by the buyer.
