Wxyz (1980) - Sculpture

WXYZ (1980) – “322-1” (2026) – Unique Original LEGO & Raw Concrete Sculpture (1/1) Original Mixed-Media Sculpture – Unique Piece (1/1) 100% Handcrafted – Entirely Created and Produced by the Artist An original sculpture combining authentic LEGO construction bricks and raw concrete, entirely conceived and handcrafted by French street artist WXYZ. This unique artwork (1/1) explores an unexpected encounter between two contrasting worlds: the playful innocence of childhood construction toys and the raw, imposing aesthetics of brutalist architecture. The sculpture features WXYZ's distinctive pixelated character, built around a striking combination of exposed grey concrete and colorful LEGO elements. Bright touches of red, electric blue, turquoise, purple, black and white interrupt the rough mineral surface, creating a powerful contrast between industrial rigidity and childhood creativity. The visible pores, air bubbles and natural irregularities of the concrete are deliberately preserved, emphasizing its authentic, brutalist character. Childhood imagination meets the raw power of concrete. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FROM GRAFFITI TO SCULPTURE The “322-1” is an emblematic figure in WXYZ's artistic universe, born from his transition from graffiti to three-dimensional art. Its name refers directly to Article 322-1 of the French Penal Code, concerning damage to property — a reference to the artist's roots in graffiti culture. Through this distinctive character, WXYZ transforms the visual language of the street into a contemporary sculptural form, combining urban culture, geometric abstraction and architectural influences. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ CHILDHOOD MEETS BRUTALISM The originality of this sculpture lies in the unexpected dialogue between LEGO bricks, symbols of childhood, play and imagination, and raw concrete, a material closely associated with brutalist architecture. The colorful construction elements appear embedded within the solid concrete structure, creating a fascinating tension between fragility and strength, playfulness and permanence. Entirely handcrafted by the artist, the sculpture celebrates both the freedom of childhood creativity and the powerful architectural presence of concrete. No industrial manufacturing. No mass production. No outsourced artistic production. A unique original artwork (1/1), reflecting WXYZ's personal craftsmanship and distinctive artistic vision. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ARTWORK DETAILS Artist: WXYZ (1980) Title: 322-1 Year: 2026 Materials: Raw concrete and LEGO construction bricks Technique: Mixed-media sculpture combining cast concrete and embedded construction elements Production: 100% artisanal – entirely designed and handcrafted by the artist Finish: Natural raw concrete with multicolored LEGO elements Edition: Unique original artwork (1/1) Authenticity: Certificate of Authenticity included ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PACKAGING & SHIPPING The sculpture comes with its original presentation box and a certificate of authenticity.
