Xiloplasto - Toy soldier - 1960-1970 - Italy

Xiloplasto - Lot of 6 Vintage Miniature Soldiers 'Northern / Union' - American Civil War - 1960s - Italy Description: Splendid and rare lot consisting of 6 vintage original toy soldiers from the famous Italian company Xiloplasto, dating from the 1960s. The set depicts Union soldiers during the American Civil War. The figures, made in the brand's characteristic high-quality flexible rubber-like plastic, are entirely hand-painted in factory with an exceptional level of detail for the era. Under the molded base of each piece is the distinctive recessed factory mark with the stylized logo "XILO" and the patent inscription. The lot includes 6 different poses in combat-ready stance, ideal for completing a diorama or a Western/Civil War themed collection: • 4 infantrymen in various dynamic assault and advancement positions with rifle. • 1 infantryman with bugle. • 1 commanding officer (a prominent figure), recognizable by the wide-brimmed hat, while brandishing the sabre during the charge. Condition: Excellent vintage condition (Very Good/Excellent). The toy soldiers are structurally intact, with no missing parts or repairs. The more delicate parts (such as the rifle barrels and the officer's sabre) are perfectly preserved. The original factory paint is still vivid and well defined, with minimal and normal signs of aging that attest to its authenticity. An excellent lot and difficult to find in these conditions, perfect for discerning collectors of vintage soldiers and Italian historical toys.
