About the artist: Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools, currently living and working in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company dedicated to the sale, representation, and development of artists and artworks, Velázquez combines her business vision with a deep artistic sensibility. This young Cuban talent has established herself in the realm of digital art, using contemporary media to explore themes related to nature, landscape, and the intimate relationship between woman and her environment. Her works gently and forcefully address topics such as beauty, love, sensuality, and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic, and refined atmospheres. With a vibrant and expressive aesthetic, Yamila Velázquez succeeds in merging classical influences with a modern language, resulting in versatile, fresh, and deeply evocative works. The pictorial texture of her images, the masterful use of color, and the emotionally balanced composition position her work as a current artistic proposition of high aesthetic value. Shipping and presentation: The work will be carefully packed by a professional and sent in a rigid cardboard tube, internally protected with bubble wrap to guarantee its integrity during transport. Shipments are made through reliable courier companies such as UPS, FedEx, or Correos Spain, depending on the destination and the most convenient option in each case. The estimated delivery time is 7 to 10 days, though it may vary depending on the destination country. The sculpture depicts the image of Jesus Christ bearing the crown of thorns, leaning with his gaze lowered and hands clasped in a deep posture of prayer, meticulously constructed with blocks and pieces of assembled stone. The work mystically connects with the tradition of Kintsugi—the Japanese art of repairing broken objects by joining their cracks with gold lacquer to honor their scars—by allowing intense flashes of golden light to emerge from the pronounced cracks that run across his face, hands, and mantle. Instead of conveying fragility or ruin, the warm radiance that emerges through the ruptures symbolizes grace, spiritual healing, and redemption, transforming pain and suffering into a manifestation of divine light where breaking becomes the greatest source of beauty and strength.
