Diameter: 7.5 cm / height: 9.5 cm Box | 13 cm (width) × 10.5 cm (height) × 12.5 cm (depth) Yayoi Kusama is a globally renowned Japanese avant-garde artist, equally a painter, sculptor, performer and novelist. From a young age, she developed an obsessive fascination with polka dots, nets and repetitive motifs, which have become the signature of her artistic universe. She extends these hypnotic forms across paintings, sculptures and installations, notably her famous pumpkins, flowers and immersive Infinity Rooms. A major figure in contemporary art, Kusama is part of a generation of artists who profoundly renewed visual culture, alongside Andy Warhol and Pop Art, Keith Haring with his instantly recognizable graphic language, or Ai Weiwei, whose work blends contemporary art and monumental installations. Her approach to color, repetition and objects also evokes Takashi Murakami, Jeff Koons, Niki de Saint Phalle or Louise Bourgeois. Thanks to her unique and instantly identifiable aesthetic, Yayoi Kusama is today one of the most iconic Japanese and contemporary artists on the international stage. #japanweek_art
