The lid is decorated with an iridescent mother-of-pearl panel and a central medallion with a pastoral romantic scene, depicting a couple in a countryside setting. The medallion is framed by an ornamental composition inspired by classical design. The box features a rectangular structure, hinged lid, and four decorative feet. The interior retains its original red/burgundy velvet lining. Due to its stylistic and constructive characteristics, it can be placed approximately in the first half of the 20th century, compatible with French decorative pieces from the Art Deco era or transitional toward this style.
